Rule No 1: She Must Not Weigh More Than Her Husband!

I have to be totally honest with you, my name is Chi and I thoroughly enjoy eating. Hey, if it’s on my husband’s plate I’m eating it and even if he does not offer, I’m going for it. I enjoy a good takeaway; chicken change in my purse Morleys (no pun intended), somethinglo filling Chinese, Thai or a doner kebab. If I want to go all out its got to Caribbean style oxtail or curry goat served with rice and peas, coleslaw, plantain and Mac and cheese *food dance*.

I love going to restaurants and trying out new foods. I rarely intend on skipping dessert. I love all cakes, Haagen Daz Ice cream ( I could eat two tubs to myself in one sitting if I was not married to my husband; strawberry cheesecake and pralines and cream).

My absolute fave at the moment are burgers. No not Mac Ds or Burger King although BK is the lesser of two evils. Girl please! Give me some credit! I’m a High-end burger type of gal. You know your gourmet burgers, posh burgers. Burgers served on a chopping board with a knife stabbed in the middle. 5 Guys burger that’s me y’all or down the road from me, the local pub serve a beef burger with all the toppings: cheese, chorizo and use a brioche bun which is good on the taste buds and easy on the braces.

Since I’ve opted to keep it one hundred on my blog post, I look forward to baby showers, birthdays, weddings, work dos, holidays and any other social event that item no seven is involved. The food love is real and I rarely hold back.

After having our son I just can’t eat like that anymore. I’ve got to bring my body under subjection and call my cravings to order. Especially now, she (she is me) weighs more than her husband. I’ve always said when that starts to happen, Houston we have a problem and something needs to be done!

It has not been easy but thankfully, my faith has helped me to eat better and shift the weight. It’s important to remain focus, have a realistic goal in mind, a lot of positivity around you, no need to announce your eating habit change to the whole world.

Here are a few scriptures (ESV) from the Bible that have helped me on my journey:

1 Corinthians 3:16 – Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 – Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body

1 Corinthians 10:31 – So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 – But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

In no way am I suggesting that all women should be smaller than their husbands, but honey I love being carried by my man.

Signing out,

Chi L
